RETOUCHER / GRAPHICS

CAITLIN SCISCOE

Caitlin Sciscoe is a retoucher and digital artist currently living in Seattle, Washington. She has a BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.93 GPA. While earning her degree, she realized she much preferred nerding out over software and Photoshop than she enjoyed actually taking photos, which is what prompted her down the path of digital art. She has since had the great pleasure of working with all kinds of talented people, from independent beauty photographers to teams at big brands like Amazon and Mailchimp.

When she's not behind the screen, Caitlin spends her time dancing! She teaches shuffle dance classes on the weekdays and performs on the weekends. She founded the dance academy You Can Shuffle With Us in Seattle, where she curates a welcoming and judgement-free community of people who love house music and dancing. Between dancing, art, and powerlifting, she is blessed to lead a very full (though sometimes hectic) life.

How do you take your coffee?
I don't drink coffee, give me a spicy Chai ;)

Who is your hero and why?
I'd say David Goggins based on what he's built despite all the adversity he faced, and how he uses his hardships to motivate and empower others to be their best. I'm also my own hero, and I think everyone should be their own hero - go out there and do amazing stuff you're proud of, tackle the hard projects, and leave an impact.

Favorite sports team?
I'm a powerlifter, so I don't really follow any team sports... Stephi Cohen is my favorite athlete though!

Three albums you can listen to forever?
LP4 by Ratatat, Past is Prologue by Tycho, Mouthoil by The Shouting Matches

Something not a lot of people know about you?
I learned how to speak Spanish by serving/bartending at a Mexican restaurant for 2 years and getting all the other staff members to speak to me in Spanish.
