Trevor Juarez is a Director & Producer who recently worked on the tv show ‘Legacies’. A passionate filmmaker, Trevor has always been drawn to projects that take you to a whole new world. His strongest inspirations come from the works of Jim Henson, Tim Burton, shows like ‘Dr.Who’, & role-playing video games. He enjoys being able to play with reality, while also delivering hard hitting performances that connect with an audience.
After annoying his family with a camera in their face as a child, Trevor discovered that a job in the film business was a true possibility & he ran towards his dream. He began working on indie films to learn as much as possible & through those connections, he began Directing & Producing smaller projects with a group of other creatives.
Continuing his career, he started working in the Sound Dept on studio projects. There he was able to watch & learn from many directors on the process of how to lead a set & how to speak with actors. Trevor then began formal training with the Warner Bros Directing Program & was under the tutelage of one of the most successful television directors in the past 30 years, Bethany Rooney.
Trevor began working on ‘Legacies’, a show that called for a monster-of-the-week format, where he would have his breakout performance. With his experience, knowledge of the process, & love for practical & VFX, Trevor was the lead Producer for all things monster. After the show ended & he was able to direct two successful episodes of television, Trevor pushed forward full time as a Director for Film & TV. He’s currently working on developing a feature film & a television show.
Trevor’s story is one of dedication & growth as an artist. In this ever-evolving craft, he knows that it’s important to keep faith in yourself as an artist & to continue to keep up with new technology so you can add anything new to your toolset.
